Charles Mingus

Charles Mingus [Charles Mingus]
(1922–79) a US ↑jazz musician. He played the ↑bass and wrote music for it. His works included Fables of Faubus (1959) and Epitaph (1962). He was active in the ↑civil rights movement and wrote the story of his life, Beneath the Underdog (1971).
